The reComputer AI R2130-12 is a versatile option for developers and enterprises alike because it supports both Ubuntu and Raspberry Pi OS. Seeed Studio has demonstrated a demo of Frigate, an open-source NVR solution driven by the AI acceleration of the Hailo-8 module, even if thorough documentation is still being developed. Up to four RTSP video streams could be handled by the system at 16.94 frames per second in a benchmark that used multistream video inference at 720p quality.

According to Seeed Studio, the system can accommodate up to eight video streams, making it a viable option for edge AI-powered analytics and video monitoring.

You can pre-order the reComputer AI R2130-12 for $249 on the Seeed Studio website right now. Soon, for $279, an industrial-grade version will be offered with further capabilities including RTC, PoE, 4G/LoRa compatibility, and TPM. For developers working with AI-driven video analytics, intelligent edge computing, and other areas, the reComputer AI R2130-12 is positioned to become a potent tool thanks to its small size, excellent AI capabilities, and strong support for edge applications.
